Taking inspiration from Mattise’s paper cut outs, this collection takes it’s cues from outlines of little puddles of botanical dyes created from wet skeins laid out to dry in the courtyard. Organic forms are drawn and collaged on paper and used as a reference to create graphs for weaving the carpets. Dyed with Himalayan Madder, Indigo, Walnut and Rhubarbs, this collection is a cheerful assemblage of rugs that is sure to brighten any living space.
